World Wide ( 24x7 OnSite ) Commercial Linux Support

Preferred Support Model

  • We prefer to provide 24x7 support coverage on a daily or hourly basis to maintain your servers per our pre-negotiated service agreements, in lieu of "waiting" for a problem to occur
    • it keeps your servers up and running
    • we both know what will be done and what will be optional
    • we both have a predefined set of tasks that will be done
    • security upgrades and patches should be tested prior to upgrading your production servers

  • Providing preventative maintenance is orders of magnitude less expensive than fixing a problem after it had ooccured

Types of Support

  • Per Incident Support ( random support would be very expensive to *-you-*)
  • Hourly or Time-n-Materials based Support
  • Pre-Defined Support Contracts ( your best option )
  • Project Based Support

Methods of Support

  • Email Based Support
  • PhoneCall Based Support
    • we'd need to install and configure VOIP at both ends
    • we'd need to install and configure video conferencing
  • TeleCommute Based Support ( your best option )
    • usually faster to fix the problem than it is to type the problem descriptions/symptoms and email it
    • it is easier to fix it if we can see the error messages
  • Your own Internal Mailing List Support
  • Onsite Support

  • Centralized Support Servers
    • 95% of the supports issues can be centralized
    • All testing MUST be automated with scripts
    • pre-release test farm of 5-10 servers
    • release test farm of 15-25 servers
    • release the changes to your world-wide customers

  • Onsite Support ( sometimes, one just have to touch it )
    • SSH, VPN, VNC is preferred prior to onsite .. but .. we'd still need:
    • a set of hands to insert cdrom
    • a set of hands to hit the reset or power switch

Support Services

  • We can design, assemble, build and test your custom servers per your specifications

  • We can keep your servers up-to-date as patches become available
  • We can harden your servers to eliminate most script kiddie attacks
  • We can eliminate most of your spams and antivirus
  • We can monitor your servers and network for any strange activity

  • We can create a corp strategy for 99.999% uptime as needed

  • We can provide and maintain large storage systems ( 100TeraBytes per rack )
